Enchanted (Kevie ONLY)

Evangeline walked into the ball, wearing her new ball gown that she had bought from her sisters credit card. She couldn't believe that she hadn't picked up a date for it, but she was a bit too pre-occupied with what happened to Mariella to even think about the dance that she knew was coming up. She knew she would probably get a date by the end of the night, even if she had to steal someone else's.

She was hoping that she didn't bump in to her sister here as she knew that Indrazade was getting suspicious. She sat down on a table, and waited for someone reasonable to arrive to talk to.

He couldn't even hide his amusement, when a invitation to the ball was left on his desk by his secretary one day. Even if they haven't yet met him, and didn't know what Samaria was, by the end of this evening, Kol Nathan Zeklos will be a common name in all the conversations.

He wore the first suit he could find, some vintage and probably extremely expensive Valentino tux. All eyes fell on him when he entered the strangely decorated dining hall. It appeared to be all red and glittery. Reminded him of a time when he traveled the world couple of years ago.

Then this amazingly beautiful blonde caught his eye. She wore this really nicely fitting blueish dress and a sleek bun in her hair. Those eyes, those familiar eyes, that grace in every movement, that attitude, it all reminded him of one person.

Elektra. His dead human bride to be, mother of his never seen son who was stolen from them, the love of his life, light to his eyes, day to his night. Only it couldn't be true, for she was dead, turned to dust and buried centuries ago.

And yet, this stranger stood before his eyes, playing with her hair, looking around with childlike curiosity, smiling to her friends and mingling with he crowd. She was beautiful, and perfect, and she had to be his. She already was his.

Kol stared at her for another moment or two, and then approached her with caution unlike to his flaming personality. "Good evening, my lady", the titan bowed in front of her. "You are as beautiful as stars in pure dark, and as loving as a firefly's spark."

Evangeline stood up, deciding to integrate with the crowd, talking to her friends for short moments, but was mainly scoping out the floor for someone who was reasonably good looking to dance with.

She had just about given up when she heard a voice come from behind her. She turned around to see the most handsome man in the whole room, and her face immediately turned red as he spoke to her with such beautiful words.

"Oh, erm, thank you!" she managed to make out her blush growing even more. He reminded her of an old suitor she had in the days when she was still human. That guy wasn't as handsome, nor as good with the words as this guy was though.

She blinked a few times and managed to regain her usual confidence. "I'm Evangeline Belle by the way." she told him, smiling widely. "May I ask what your name is?" she asked.

He listened to her voice when she spoke, paying less attention to her words than to the sound of them, and it also reminded him of Elektra, although it was a bit stronger, and louder than hers was. Her skin was a bit lighter, and her hair longer and darker, but that could all be explained with different times they lived in, and different species they belonged to.

This girl was a vampire, and not any kind, but an original one, which meant that she had been on this planet for a long time, and also meant that she wasn't going anywhere, which made him gloat inside. He was hungry for her eyes, and in that exact moment, he knew that one day, she will be his first lady, the one behind the leader of the world.

"If I may", Kol started, taking her hand in his, holding it delicately and blowing a kiss into it. "A lady gets what a lady deserves. My name is Kol Nathan Zeklos, and I'm completely at your service."

The way her cheeks blushed when she felt uncomfortable, the way her hair shined in the light, how her eyes sparkled when she spoke, it was all unmistakably identical to the way his dead love did all of those things.

Evangeline gave a look of confusion as she realised the look on his face was one of recognition. she tilted her head, wondering where she had seen him before. It wasn't strange for her to be recognized, seeing as she was around 1600 years old... Give or take a few centuries.

She smiled as he kissed her hand, this time managing to keep her sense of poise and rationality. Kol Nathan Zeklos. Even though the name wasn't familiar to her, she was already in love with it.

"Completely at my service?" she asked, a grin growing on her face. "Well then does that mean I have the right to command you to dance with me?" she asked with a giggle.

For a moment or two, both of them were looking at each other with similar expressions, actually, checking the other person out. He was doing it because she was so beautiful, and reminded him of Elektra, and she was probably doing it because he was charming, or so he hoped.

Her smile, as his lips touched her hand, was beautiful and graceful, completely lady like. She was appropriate in everything she did, or so it seemed to him. "If my name sounds familiar to you, it's because I just moved back to town and started a branch of my company, Samaria, here in Ellington. And if it isn't familiar at all, it's probably because of the same reason."

"Yes, completely yours", Kol led her in, with a word game in his line. "I was just about to ask you to dance with me. I like that you beat me through it." With that last sentence, he offered his hand to her, inviting her for a dance of her life. He already loved the sound of her giggle. This was bond to be a good night, better than he expected.

She knew that this guy was the one for her. It was obvious that he was older than her, but only physically. Nowadays it was rare for her to meet someone who was older, and not related to her, but in this town anything was possible, as she soon figured out.

"Samaria?" she asked, tilting her head slightly, trying not to blush again from him kissing her hand. "Well what does that do?" she asked him, thinking the name sounded familiar. Her sister had probably mentioned it or something like that. "And if my name is familiar, though it probably isn't, it is because I have been pretty much everywhere... Plus my sister runs this school." she told him, looking around to make sure the girl in question wasn't anywhere around.

She took his hand, looking up at him, knowing that tonight was going to be one of the best nights. This was one of the first times where she hadn't bothered about what had happened to Mariella.
