| Salea sighed and walked off to the sports field, a book in her hand. It was really sunny outside, which made her feel extremely worse. Luckily, she had a few things that could keep that stupid ball out of her mind. Like her book.
She plopped herself down on the grass and sighed. She opened up her book and started reading. After a few moments, she realized she wasn't taking a single word in.
Sal rolled her eyes instead and dumped the book in her bag. She flung the bag back on the grass as she stood up. She might as well just take a jog.
As she jogged, the thoughts of the ball came to her again. Urgh. Won't it ever stop annoying her? It was already bad enough that she creeped some people out. Even worse that she hadn't found a date. At least not having a super-handsome guy dancing beside you didn't draw too much attention. But dancing by yourself would be just as ridiculous.
Sal stopped jogging and sat beside her bag once more. She blinked back tears. It wasn't like her to be crying. But after four years of torture in this freak school, what did you expect?

| Genevieve loved sunny days. She loved all sorts of weather, to be honest, something to do with her species perhaps that caused her to simply adored being outside. As she wandered across the sports field, she beamed to herself, enjoying the feeling of the warm sun, and looked for a place to sit and make the most of the lovely weather.
Noticing another girl and deciding to be friendly and approach her, Genevieve began her journey towards her, smiling. "Excuse me, would I be able to sit here?" she asked in a cheery voice, before noticing the expression on the other girl's face and forcing her own into a sympathetic one. "Oh, what's wrong? Do you need any help?" The idea that she might want alone time only occurred to the faerie afterwards, but she continued to look at the girl with concern.

| Salea quickly blinked a few times before looking up at the girl. "No, I'm okay, you could sit," she said quietly. She sighed and saw that the girl seemed younger. "Freshie? I haven't seen you around, so you probably are. Salea Marceza, Senior," she introduced herself and held out her hand for the girl to shake.
Sal looked around the field. It was empty except for the two of them. No one usually went here, except for training or something else. The lake was a more popular spot, but Sal figured she'd have more peace here. She had heard that some mermaids lived near the lake.
She turned to the girl once more, waiting for an answer.
