Shake it out Empty
PostSubject: Shake it out   Shake it out EmptyMon Oct 15, 2012 3:45 am

Oliver sat at the bar, a glass of vodka in front of him. He lifted it to his lips every now and then to take a sip, being careful to know when it was empty. He didn't want to look like a bloody fool lifting an empty glass to his lips. He looked like a fool enough already. The stick he had to carry with him already screamed 'blind kid coming your way', he didn't need more things to give himself away.

He told himself he wasn't sulking (even though he was). He was sick of people feeling sorry for him, and pretending to understand how he felt. (Which is why he was now feeling sorry for himself at a pub, and getting himself drunk on vodka.)

He heard the chair next to him being pulled back, but didn't lift his head to look at them. It wasn't like he would be able to see them anyway.

Shake it out Empty

Rhea'd grown incredible bored of Wings. Even the hot bartender couldn't change the fact that she'd spent way too much time in that place. And only that place. She'd barely been to the other clubs or pubs around. So she had decided to try something new, a place called Cooper Rose that she was most certain that she'd never even stepped a foot into. But there was a first time for everything.

She'd gone there on her own, maybe not her finest and smartest idea for she realized she barely recognize anyone there. Most of her friends really seemed to like Wings the best.

She made her way over to the bar, at lest she could get herself a drink (and see if the bartender here was as nice looking). She came to a halt, an amused smile spreading over her face as she realized that she did indeed recognize one of the people there. He, Oliver Green who she had met at the Library, did however not seem too cheery.

"Hello sunshine!" She greeted, after pulling out the chair next to him and sitting down, waving the bartender over. "You look like you're in a good mood." she commented, eyebrows raised (not that he could see it, though) before she turned to the bartender and ordered a cocktail.

Oliver was fairly certain that the voice of the person next to him was talking to him. He recognized the voice, and he knew that apart from the bartender, there wasn't anyone else very close. Oliver kept his eyes trained on his glass, and refused to scowl at the girls words.

He wished she were talking to the bartender.

The man recognized the girl's voice, recognizing voices was something he was good at. It was the only way he was able to recognize people after all. Or he could feel them, but that was usually considered a bit strange. And it made the man extremely uncomfortable. He preferred recognizing his acquaintances by voice, if the option was there.

"I'd say you'd look quite stunning yourself, but I wouldn't know if I'd be lying or not," he nearly scoffed, before taking another swig of his drink.

Shake it out Empty

So most people would treat 'handicapped' people differently, and Rhea guessed Oliver Green, the blind guy, fit under that category. But Rhea wasn't one for treating people differently (especially if she was supposed to). She didn't mind getting special treatment herself (though not as if she was handicapped), but she rarely treated other people like they deserved more than others.

But the fact that Oliver was here, looking a bit grim, did brighten up her evening. Was that bad? At least she wasn't bored anymore.

"I do." Rhea responded, playing with the hem of her dress as she did so. She was pretty sure she did look stunning, the dress was stunning (gift from Theo), the shoes (birthday gift from Claude, at least one of them) were stunning and Rhea herself liked to think she was usually stunning. "It's safe to assume I'm always stunning," she assured the boy.

"What are you doing here anyway? Moping on your own? It doesn't sound like a recipe for a fun night. Or are you unable to have one of those?"
