A Long List of Secrets

Maeve walked along the stones of the pathway leading to and away the small gazebo. She sighed as she reached that strange marker thing at the middle of the pathway. She pondered for a while as she stood before it. What was it really called? she thought before shaking her head and looked around. The Secret Garden she thought with a smile. It was a wonder how many trees where there considering it was underground.

She sighed before sitting down, using that strange marker thing for her back to lean on. What happened for it to be here? she thought again. So many secrets Maeve sighed and shook her head and looked around a small almost sad smile gracing her features Just like mine

She closed her eyes for a while, listening to her surrounding. She wondered if birds were here too. Her brow furrowed before she mentally growled. She was thinking too much before she remembered that She came here to think

Her eyes still closed she felt around for that small basket that she had almost all but forgotten. She placed it on her lap before going back to listening around.

Salea walked around the garden. It was the second time she's been here, and she has not crashed into a single person before. Confidently, she changed into her Black Dog form. She strolled along, getting nearer to the marker each step she makes.

Taken aback, she noticed a girl somewhere near the marker. She grinned, which was creepy since she's in a dog form, and walked quietly towards the girl. Speaking in her normal voice, she said: "Awh... is little kitty lost?" It came with a silent growl, but she was speaking like a person nonetheless. She changed back to human form and grinned.

"Well, you look like a Sophomore. Am I right, or not?" Sal asked the girl. She was sure, since she was used to the smell of the usual Sophomores running around Pemberton. "On the other hand, I'm Salea Marceza. French-Latina, actually, weird combination." she smirked. It was a weird combination. But she spoke fluent English anyways. "You don't seem... normal, is it? Like... let me guess your race," Sal said, smiling. "Shape-shifter, perhaps?"

Sal sounded a LOT like a stalker, but she isn't. Hellhounds like her smell things that even Werewolves don't, so she can identify most people's races. She grinned at the sophomore and waited for an answer.

Maeve frowned as her eyes fluttered open. Her eyes widened when she saw a big black dog in front of her, it looked menacing. She then sighed somewhat in relief when the dog turned into a person - female to be exact. "No i am not lost" she said her voice slightly cracking having not used it in a while since she's been down here.

"You are right,I am a sophomore" she said not bothered by the slightest how the girl knew. She smiled slightly at the girl as she fumbled with the handle of her basket. "I'm Maeve Calypso it is nice to meet you... and it is not a weird combination" she said pausing slightly somewhere in her sentence. "You look lovely" she praised.

She shifted her back slightly, feeling a bit nervous. How did this girl know what she was? What was she? What did she want? Maeve sighed and nodded albeit a bit reluctantly. "Yes I am a shape-shifter" she said before tilting her head at the girl. "How did you know and what are you?" she asked Sal, voicing out two of her thoughts.

Salea grinned at the girl's response. "Ah, that's good. In places like this, it's not a good thing to be lost." she said softly. She noticed that the girl's voice cracked, but it was just probably because she didn't use it while she was down here. After all, you may not know what roams around.

She nodded when the girl said that she was a sophomore. She smiled back, softly, and tucked her hair behind her ears. She continued listening, and found out the girl's name was Maeve. "Maeve... that's a nice name. It's nice to meet you, too," Sal said. "Thank you." she said, when Maeve said she looked nice. Not most said this, as her hair wasn't shiny like it should normally be.

Sal smirked; she noticed that the girl was nervous because she knew she was a shape-shifter. She nodded slightly. When Maeve asked her what she was, she sighed. "I'm a Hellhound; Black Dog in other words. My kind usually look menacing, and we can smell things that even Werewolves don't. I knew you were a shape-shifter when I smelled you, because as I said, I can smell things. Most things, but certain Hellhounds can smell anything." Salea replied.

"There's very few of us nowadays, since half of our race are in the Samaritans' side, and you do know that everyone wants to kill the Samaritans." she sighed. It was sad. But someday, she'll have her turn. She is a spy for the Samaritans, albeit no one has ever found that out.

Evangeline walked into the garden hesitantly. Not many people knew of this place so she was often alone. Well that was until the last time. The time when Mariella had decided to have an argument with her. Evie winced at the thought of it. She had only come back to make sure the spot at the end was the same as Evie had left it.

Unfortunately for the girl two people were already in the garden, so Evie put on a natural face and walked up to them slowly, planning on checking once they had both left. She saw a girl in her year, and a sophomore. She wasn't able to put a name to either of the faces though.

A new scent filled Salea's nose. She turned around and saw a girl in her year walking towards them. "Ah, hello. Belle, isn't it? Evangeline Belle? I'm Salea Marceza." Sal smiled innocently. She wanted to make some friends, but spy on them at the same time. She's only so lucky that no one knows that she is a spy for The Samaritans.

She sighed. Sal knew that someone would soon find it out. But for now, she would keep it to her self and not make things obvious.

Maeve nodded absentmindedly as she listened. "A hell hound eh? That's cool" she said before blushing and coughing. She tilted her head at the new girl that had come and blinked up at Salea before turning to the new girl. "Belle?" she said questioningly. "Are you Madam Indrazade Belle's kid, sister or something?" she asked not really knowing who she was and curious to know who she was exactly.

Salea nodded. "It is pretty nice. But there's some disadvantages to it." she smirked. She turned back to Evie just after Maeve spoke to her. "Madam Indrazade's sister," she pointed out to Maeve before speaking once more, "The original vampires are pretty interesting. Really interesting creatures, the lot," Sal said.

She was doing her best not to make anyone uncomfortable by changing topics. "But Evie here could really pretend to be Madam Indrazade's daughter. They look so much alike, except that Madam Indrazade has darker hair." Tilting her head a bit as a new smell went to her nose, she turned around. She didn't see anyone, but she was sure that there was someone around.
