Meeting a new friend in the hidden room

Hikago was surprised when he found the hidden room when he was only trying to hide from people when his ears and tail had shown themselves. He was wearing his standard outfit. ((check profile for it lol)) He looked around the room in shock. "Well this will make a good place to hide now won't it"

Maeve yawned as she wandered the third floor corridor on her way to the hidden room. She was one of the few students that actually knew about it. She entered the room and blinked as she saw someone inside already. "Oh er hello there" she said, awkwardly rubbing her arm

Hikago turned to her and his ears twitched. "Oh hello there." He smiled brightly as his tail swayed. "Is this your room?"

Maeve tilted her head at him, closing the door behind her and shaking her head. "Not really... though I refer it as a place to get away" she says with a shrug before blinking at his ears and tail only now noticing "You're not a human..." she says before squinting her eyes "And you're obviously not a werewolf... so what are you?" she asks her eyes shifting to yellow.

He scratched the back of his head and smiled. "Well I'm a shape shifter and my name is Hikago Lionheart." He looked at her. "And you are?"

Maeve smiled slightly and walked toward him to poke his ears, curiously "I'm Maeve Calypso and I'm a shape-shifter too" she says before blinking "Though i don't normally choose to shift like you do" she added referring to the cat ears and tail.

She tugs slightly at the tail blinking at it. "Does it hurt?" she asks before looking up at him, blushing "Sorry i'm too curious for my own good..."

He couldn't help but purr at the ear poking and shook his head. "I am odd I'll admit and no it doesn't hurt unless someone tugs hard on the tail." He tilted his head at her. "What do you usually shift into then Maeve?" He sat down on the floor when he asked his question.

Maeve blinked when she heard him purr "You act like a cat too" she said before smiling a little "Lots of things mostly animals but never like what you did" she said pointing to his ears and then his tail "I don't know if I can do it."

He shrugged and patted the floor next to him. "Well I'd be more then willing to try to teach you it took me a long time to learn it." He seemed to gaze off at nothing for a minute as he remembered when he finally got half shifting down.

She eyes him suspiciously before sitting down beside him "You can teach me?" she said in disbelief. "Why?" She was such a paranoid girl. "Though learning does sound fun" she mumbled to herself.

He shrugged. "Because You're the first shape shifter I've seen since my parents. Plus the ears and tail are lots of fun." He started petting his tail. "And who doesn't like the fluffyness?"

Maeve stared at him for a while before nodding "Okay then..." she said then let herself grin "What do I do?" she says, confidently hoping that she could do it. "Oh and who taught you?" she asked

He shrugged. "No one taught me I learned it as a way of trying to make people happy but that didn't work.." He shook his head. "As for what you have to do is focus on your favorite animal and your favorite traits of that animal. Once you have that picture yourself gaining those physical attributes and then will yourself to have them. Just stop before you go all the way into that animal"

Maeve nodded silently as she listened before closing her eyes "Favorite animal?" she pouts, her eyes still closed. "I can't pick a favorite ya know... All of them are much too unique in their own way" she says before focusing on what he was - a cat. Her favorite attribute? Their tail, ears and whiskers. Now the imagining part... that was a hard one. She concentrated hard as she thought about gaining those attributes and her skin tingled as she transformed. She opened her eyes abruptly and tried to look at herself "I look hideous don't I?" she asked, her raven colored tail swishing about.

He watched her transformation and smiled at her. "Not at all Maeve you look fantastic" He spoke honestly and reached out to gently pet her tail. "You learned it much faster then I did"

Maeve blushed and wrapped her tail round his wrist, feeling oddly affectionate. "I learn well and fast" she says with a shrug, scrunching up her nose a little. She tugs at her whiskers, giggling slightly and smiled at him "I feel soooo affectionate!"

He laughed lightly as his tail wrapped around hers. "That will pass eventually not that being affectionate is ever a bad thing." He nuzzled her as he began to feel affectionate himself.

Maeve laughed lightly as their tails wrapped around each other and blushed suddenly when he started nuzzling. This is normal right? An actual purr came from her and she blushed even further as she nuzzled back "When does it usually pass?" she asked.

He laughed lightly when she purred. "Well it passed after a few hours for me. But it can come back every now and then." He spoke like it was no big deal.

Maeve nodded and flicked her tail experimentally in the air "So ain't gonna get used to this" she said before looking over at him "So how do you like pemberton so far?" she asked, as her eyes shifted back and forth from yellow to black.

He nodded a little and scratched one of his ears. "Well you will have to get used to it happening sometimes but other then that nope." He unwrapped his tail from hers. "I like it here especially now that I have a friend."

She had laughed and reached to scratch him behind his ears for him, giggling. "A friend? Who?" she asked, blinking before poking his nose "And you should have whiskers I dun wanna be the only one with whiskers" she said pouting

He tilted his head and purred enjoying the scratching. "You of course," He flicked his tail happily as he felt the familiar tingle of whiskers appearing on his face. "Hows that?"

She laughed slightly when the whiskers appeared on his face "It looks cute" she said, tugging slightly on one. She grinned brightly and continued to scratched him behind the ear, giggling when he purred

He nuzzled her hand and sighed happily. "You think so?" He smiled proudly at that and started petting her tail as his own wrapped around her wrist.
