Other Family BiographyHistory:In his hay day, Hermes was one of the most powerful beings in the world, a god of almost unlimited power. He loved his people. In fact, whatever he did, he did for them. For a few hundred years, life for him was eventful and joyous.
Then Olympus fell. It was a slow tumble, to be sure, beginning at the fall of Ancient Greece, but at one point the Gods found themselves to be only shells of their former selves. Many of them continued using their powers to gain influence in the world, while others drifted off into obscurity.
Hermes, as the patron of travelers, spent his time exploring this new world. The fallen god didn't have much to worry about in the way of money or survival, as some of his powers were still in tact, so he remained far above any common man. He also discovered that even if he was far weaker than he had ever been, he remained immortal.
Throughout his travels, Hermes watched the world shift. At first, he was excited about the changes he saw. Even if he wasn't present to facilitate them, man was advancing at a breakneck pace, and getting faster every day. It wasn't until he began watching the lives of the people that he became dissatisfied. It seemed to him that the more advanced society grew, the more trapped the common human was.
The way that people lived their lives, pushing themselves through each dull day, just so they could wake up the next morning to another day just like it.
He knew exactly what this new world needed: just a touch of chaos.
Personality Dylan is easygoing and charismatic. He likes people, and people generally like him, mostly because it's in their instincts, whether they know it or not. He is also very cunning and creative, being the god of wit and literature. Unfortunately, he tends to use this skill in order to stir up (usually harmless) trouble. Unlike the average human, Dylan is used to change, and enjoys it. In fact, if he finds his life is too stagnant, he may just be compelled to get up and leave without a moment's notice.
