Biography

History: Kiva’s fairy blood comes from her mother’s side, and when Vivian left her home to marry a human, the faerie coven that she was part of were reluctant to ever have her come back. Her brother, Alexander, didn’t inherit any faerie powers, and they didn’t expect Kiva to either. What she did inherit was very minimal, and only seemed to serve as a reminder to her mother of what she gave up, so Kiva was banned from performing any magic. As a child she was always teased for being small and ‘different’, as she was infatuated with nature, and knowing that she was along with the teasing made her too nervous to really engage with humans, having ‘different’ burned into her brain. When her mother told her that she was going to Pemberton, in hopes that she would be able to learn something about her powers without upsetting anyone at home, Kiva became much more excited, hoping to finally find somewhere she felt like she belonged. Unfortunately she still feels a little too different compared to most people.
Personality Kiva is very nervous, and cripplingly shy. She also hates confrontation and is easily pushed around because of this, preferring to just do what she’s told than stick up for herself. For the most part she prefers to be alone, left to her books and plants, though she enjoys having a few people to be around to stop herself getting too lonely. When she gets too nervous she starts babbling, and it’s the only time she really says lots at once.
