Waiting

Katrina walked into the dance. Sure she looked beautiful but she didn't know anybody. And she didn't eve have a date and wasn't sure why she even came to this. But she was telling herself so that she could meet people. Kat wasn't expecting a whole lot. She was bored and was watching everybody already her.

She then was standing by the wall just watching.

Luxie came with some new friend of her, smiling lightly at every person in the room that made eye contact with her. The girl didn't even seem to notice her own, personal, 'I'm a fallen angel that brings joy to the world", kind of charm.

She danced around, remembering the movements her sisters did on feasts and and celebrations, and copying them with as much grace as she could, which was a lot. There was a girl at the opposite side of the ball room, standing alone, watching everyone.

Before she even thought it through, not that she ever did that, the angel joined her and looked into her eyes. "Hello", the girl greeted her with warmth. "How fare thee?"

Katrina sighed as she looked around. She didn't even notice that someone came up to her. That was because she was in her own little world. Watching everybody was something else. They looked like they was enjoying it. Unlike Katrina who was wondering why she even bother to come. But she was going to try and have a fun time.

She then smiled a little bit when someone came up to her. " Oh hello." This person then was asking how she was feeling. But Kat was going to be nice. " Oh well it is just weird being a new girl here."

She didn't even notice the girls reaction as she asked her how she felt. The only thing Lux noticed that the other girl wasn't having fun. It made her sad, and she immediately had tears in her eyes, which she tried to hide from the blonde.

"You're new?" It all made sense to her now, and as she smiled, she remembered a sentence from a Queen Latifah's movie. "You know it, sister. I'm also new, I understand more than you think."

Katrina could tell that this person could tell that she wasn't really having any fun. And she could see that she that she was sad about this. And it really wasn't this girl fault. It was because Kat didn't know anybody or couldn't even get a date.

" Yeah my mom got a new job and decided to pull me from my old school. Where all of my friends where." But she couldn't help but laugh when this girl was quoting from a Queen Latifah movie. That is when Kat started to laugh. " Wow that funny."

She wondered if the other blonde would tell her why she felt sad, and when she finally did, Lux was happy again. Her trust meant the world for the fallen angel, she was sensitive and sensible, all in one, and people's affection made her blossom.

"At least you have a mom", her respond came enthusiastically, even if it sounded sad to others. "And you had friends too, that means you'll have no problem in making friends here." They were both smiling and it was a normal, happy scene. "I can be your friend", she said honestly, widening her green eyes in a childlike manner.
