Settling In

Maeve trudged into the living room and deposited the two plastic bags that she was carrying onto the sofa chair and threw herself on the couch. "That was a bit tiring than I expected" she said with a slight laugh.

Hikago set his bags next to the two Maeve had set down and slumped onto the couch with her. "Yea but it was fun being out and about with you." He smiled and stretched out with a yawn. "Definitely the most fun shopping I've done."

Maeve chuckled slightly but oofed when he slumped on the couch as she was laying down on it. "Ger'off!" she mock whined slightly before pushing him off, giggling but managed to roll herself out of it as well. She pouted and pulled the bottom of the couch, making it into a bed and grinned. She climbed back on it, giggling "Sorry bout that"

Hikago laughed and climbed back onto the bed with her. "It's quite all right Maeve I didn't think I'd land right on you." He said as he once again cuddled up to her. "This is much more comfortable then the floor in our hideout." He said as he laid his head down.

Maeve yawned slightly and kissed his cheek. "Yep! Much more comfy" she said giggling before blinking "We still need to find a couch to put in there"

Hikago smiled and kissed her forehead. "Yea I know we do we need one like this." He said as he closed his eyes and began to relax. "Of course this is just as good as the hideout for now."

Maeve nodded and forced herself to sit up "We meaning you should get your stuff up your room" she suggested and crawled off the couch bed. "Oh and before I forget" she said then went to one of the bags and pulled her cocktail dress that she bought and ran up the stairs to her room and hang it.

Hikago got up and grabbed his bags. "I guess I should." He said with a sigh as he headed to his room to put his clothes away. Once his stuff was put up he plopped down on his bed and stared up at the ceiling.

Maeve had sighed and walked downstairs. She went to the kitchen, took out her apron and started cooking for lunch, having felt hungry all of a sudden. She also prepared some orange juice.

Hikago decided to try his suit on so he did and then walked down to the kitchen when he smelled the food. "Hey Maeve how do I look?" He asked her not sure what answer to expect.

Maeve turned the stove off just in time when Hika came in. She turned around and resisted the urge to let her jaw drop. She blushed brightly before turning back to her cooking. Which was just some chocolate chipped pancakes. She didn't know why she wanted to eat these stuff when it was lunch time. "Y-you look positively handsome" she said, keeping her face out of view so he won't see her blush. She took out a plate and placed the pancakes on it then placed it on the counter and filled two glasses with orange juice.

Hikago smiled and blushed as he approached her. "You think so?" He asked still unsure of himself but glad she liked how he looked. He wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her. "That means so much to me." He realized he was in love with his new friend and was totally okay with that,

Maeve smiled and leaned back on him. "Yep and Lunch is served I guess" she said as she took out another two plates and placed them on the counter along with cutlery "Sorry for the pancakes by the way I like eating odd" she said blushing

Hikago shook his head and smiled at her. "It's fine I happen to have been craving pancakes." He said as he nuzzled her. "Want me to set the table?" He asked as he started to anyway.

Maeve shook her head a bit and didn't bother replying as he started doing it. She just helped him before blinking and poking his side. "Go change first we don't want you ruining your suit" she said and proceeded to finish setting the table.

Hikago laughed and nodded. "Good idea." He ran up to his room to get changed and came back down in his usual style. He sat down at the table and looked at her. "I think I'm gonna be really happy here."

Maeve chuckled and took a seat waiting for him. "You would?" she repeated questioningly after she prayed and started eating. "It'd be nice to have someone else besides me here too" she mused out loud

Hikago smiled and prayed with her before starting to eat. "Yea as long as you don't mind me having a crush on you." He said quietly and enjoyed the food which was incredibly delicious. "Especially since I'd be living with you and you can add being a great cook to your list of qualities."

Maeve blinked not really catching on what he said. She smiled slightly though at what he said next and shook her head "Not really.." she said blushing. "But I do like you living here" she said with a bright grin as she took a sip of her juice.

Hikago smiled at her as he ate the pancakes. "The pancakes are great Maeve." He said as he drank some of his juice. "You know you really are amazing to me." He said as he looked at her.

Maeve nodded and realized she had finished her pancakes. She waited for himto finish so she could wash the dishes and blinked. She blushed unexpectedly "E-er thank you" she said trying hard not to stutter.

He got up and helped her with the dishes as he shifted his ears tail and whiskers back out. He wrapped the tail around her waist as much as he could. "You're welcome." He said softly as he stood close to her smiling. "You're going to look beautiful in the dress you picked out."

Maeve smiled slightly as she washed the dishes and chuckled at his tail. "Eh and how would you know?" she asked him, smiling brightly as she finished the dishes. She petted the tail around her waist, giggling slightly before looking up at him. "Hrm I already know you look good in your suit" she said with a grin before snuggling up to him.

He smiled down at her and his tail rubbed around her waist. "Well I know because you look beautiful right now and will look beautiful in anything." He said with a slight blush as he snuggled her. "I can't wait for the dance I'll have the best date there."

Maeve shook her head and looked up at him. Gods was he true? she thought, smiling. He was so sweet! She kissed him softly then. Gosh I think I'm addicted she thought. "Thank you and yep the dance" she repeated before tilting her head, a bit confused. He never told her he had gotten a date "Who are ya going with?"
