Skyfall [Jessie&&Sashie]

Jessamine could barely see anything, because of the big stacks of books she was carrying in her arms. Maybe thinking she could carry them all at the same time had been a bad idea.

Her hands were starting to shake from the load and every time she swayed the books threatened to fall, but so far - so good. She was almost there, all she needed was to carry them few feet more and then she could lay her books down on the table.

But as she passed a person, she found herself distracted for a second trying to see if she knew the girl, but as she did so she leaned too much to her left which sent the top book flying down from the pile, crashing against the person's shoulder.

Jess gasped. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" she stressed, keeping a firm grip on the other books.

Studying was stupid. Sasha liked being a fourteen year old (it was why she chose to be one so often), but she didn't like the studying that was required of one. It was practically the same material, over and over. Sasha hated repetition. Hated it more than she hated everything else. And that was saying something. Still, she had to keep up the appearance of a normal fourteen year old, and the only way to do that was to devote at least some time to studying.

Sasha yawned, thumbing the next page of the textbook she'd just borrowed, reading while she walked back to one of the tables. She almost lost herself in the book when something large and heavy hit came flying into her shoulder, effectively jolting her back into reality.

"Would it kill you to watch where you're going?" she snapped, rubbing her sore shoulder sourly. "Are you always clumsy, or is that only when you happen to be carrying large and heavy books?"

Jessamine winced at the girls' harsh tone. Apparently the book had hurt her, and there for the girl was a bit angry at her, at least Jessamine couldn't imagine anything else would be the reason for the girl's mood.

Jessamine placed her other books down carefully on the table, before biting her lip and looking at the girl again. "I'm really sorry," she started. "I'm always clumsy." she admitted, playing with her fingers. "I didn't mean to hurt you though, are you alright?" she reached out, wanting to touch the shoulder she had hurt but stopped herself as she remembered her brother's word that people - especially pissed off people - didn't often like to be touched.

Jessamine pulled her hand back, feeling her cheeks warm up. "I'm Jessie, by the way!" Maybe if she tried to be warm and friendly the girl wouldn't be so angry at her. "Who are you?"

Sasha scowled. "If you're always clumsy, you ought to work on fixing that, shouldn't you?" Her eyes narrowed. Did all the people here ask stupid questions? "And no, no I am not alright. I was hit with a book," she made sure to make special emphasis on the word, "a very big, very heavy book. So yes, of course it would hurt."

"Sasha," she snapped, kneeling to retrive her textbook from where she'd dropped it on the floor. "Though why this is relevant is beyond me. I do not plan on making your acquaintance; this should be a one time thing only." She wrinkled her nose. She really hoped getting hit by a book would be a one time thing; it really did hurt.

Jessamine looked guiltily around. The girl was definitely upset with her. But it was understandable seeing as Jessamine had dropped heavy books on her. "I've been trying," she said. "But I don't seem to be able to control being clumsy." she bit her lip. "I'm so sorry."

Jessamine felt uneasy on her feet and shuffled a little bit further away from the girl at her tone. She reached down to grab the book that had fallen, hugging it to her chest. "I'm really sorry," she said again. "I'd hate for you to dislike me because of this." she stared down at her own feet.
