Just Hanging Out

Maeve smiled slightly as she and the person she was tugging along stepped onto the front garden where the pool was at. She opened the gate with her free hand and tugged her friend "Come on don't be shy" she said before leading him to the living room. She let go of his hand and plomped down on one of the couches and giggled "Welcome! To Maeve's Mystery" she said.

Hikago looked around the living room wide eyed. "Wow nice place.. Really big.." He plopped down next to her and smiled. "Comfy couch I like it" He cuddled up to her on it and smiled. "We can hang out here until we get the couch for our hideout" He pulled out his sketch pad and started sketching the room.

She chuckled lightly and snuggled up to him "Too big actually that's why I don't come here so often... feels lonely" she said with a shrug. She smiled and nodded "Yep we can" She leaned on him and watched as he sketched, smiling "Ya really are a great sketcher ya know"

He hummed happily as he sketched. "I can see why it would feel that way but I'm sure if you had someone staying with you here it wouldn't feel that way. But now you will have a reason to spend some time here." He did his best to even sketch them on the couch. "Got any art supplies here?"

She smiled slightly and shrugged "I live alone" she mumbled before standing up "I think there's some in my room I never used those" she said before dashing off to the stairs up to the second floor where her room was situated. She entered the maeve colored room and went to her cabinet. She opened it and withdraw a box full of art materials that she bought but never really used so she kept them in her closet. She then started to make her journey back downstairs. She placed it on the table and nodded "There we go"

He smiled gratefully at her and started adding color to the sketch he did of her earlier. "Thank you very much." He looked at her. "You know I can keep you company sometimes if you like it's not like I have many friends here yet." He kept adding color to his sketch.

Maeve smiled and sat down beside him shifting into that neko form she had earlier. It amused her this new form of hers. Her tail lightly brushed itself along his neck before resting on his lap as she watched him color "Pretty"

He instinctively shifted into his own neko form and his tail brushed her cheek as he focused on the coloring and not on his words. "Only as pretty as the person it's of." He pulled the sketch out of the book and handed it to her. "I will make more"

Maeve blushed at what he said and shook her head "You don't have to you know" she said as she stood up and placed the sketch carefully in the box with other drawings not wanting to tear it "Oh... and thank you"

He smiled at her. "I know but I want to make more of you." He started adding colors to the other sketches. "What are you thanking me for exactly?" He looked at her confused by the thank you.

She smiled lightly "For the compliment of course" she said before going into the kitchens to satiate her sudden hunger for milk. Must be a cat's thing she thought as she poured some milk into her glass and another glass. She walked back into the living room and placed the other glass on the table if he wanted to drink and sat by him, sipping hers quietly "This is nice... hanging out and all"

He picked up the glass and sipped it slowly. "I didn't give you a compliment did I?" He blinked and relaxed that he did. "Oh that it's no problem you really are pretty." He laid his tail around her back and smiled. "Yea it is nice."

Maeve nodded and sighed contentedly "So whattya wanna do?" she asks him. Her house was relatively far away from the village that she can freely roam about without anyone seeing. "And yes you did give me a compliment" she purred slightly as she finished her milk.

Hikago shrugged and set his glass down when he finished his milk. "Well you could show me around your house or we could get started on some of the combinations." He closed his eyes and snuggled closer to her on the couch as his tail petted hers. "As for the compliment I am sure you get them all the time."

Maeve hummed as she snuggled closer to him, turning her head to nuzzle his neck affectionately. "Hrm a tour of the house sounds good" she concluded before intertwining her tail and his, giggling "No actually I don't get them" she said honestly with a shrug "Pick Tour or Talk first"

He purred at her nuzzling his neck and looked shocked that she doesn't get compliments. "Well talking is fine the tour can wait." He chose to talk first mostly because he was much too comfy to get up and rubbed her tail with his. "What would you like to talk about you or me?"

Maeve giggled slightly "Hey that tickles" she said as she made her tail unwrap itself from his and paw at it giggling "Hrm you" she said with a twinkle in her eyes as she looked at him

He laughed and wrapped his tail around her hand. "Hmm well what would you like to know exactly? My past, present, or dreams for the future?" He was willing to answer pretty much any question asked of him.

Maeve smiled slightly and stroked his tail with her thumb giggling "Everything I guess" she said "If that's okay with you I mean" she added a moment later, blushing.

Hikago scratched the back of his head and smiled. "Well I never knew my family just my parents who were killed by mortals. I never met any siblings or other family members. I've been in countless places and have made lots of friends but they always ran me out." He blushed slightly. "I've never had a girlfriend or actually kissed a girl.." He sighed a little. "I can't seem to truly hate people though which I guess is a good thing." He looked at her. "I don't have many plans for the future but I'm sure if I thought about it I could figure something out."

Maeve frowned in concern before wrapping her arms around his waist. "I'm sorry" she mumbled. There she goes again it was a habit of hers to say sorry even though it wasn't her fault. Some say its good some say its bad. "Then those 'friends' of yours ain't true friends if they ran you out like that" she said with a pout snuggling closer. "That sounds good" she said to his last two sentences as the third to the last had made her blush and not utter a word.

He wrapped his arms around her. "It's no big deal anymore it was so many years ago that I barely remember their faces some days. As for the friends I now have one real friend which is more then enough for me." He kissed her forehead. "I started sketching as a way of remembering everyone and everything I've seen. Some sketches I give to the people they are of but only when I plan on making many more of them for myself." He laughed lightly and nuzzled her affectionately.

Maeve nodded and snuggled closer "I am still sorry you know" she said biting her lip "I say sorry for they haven't" She sighed and smiled slightly but it turned out as a slight grimace of embarrassment "Silly noh?"

She hummed slightly before she blinked looking up at him "You gave the sketch of me back..." she mumbled quietly and she knew already he was going to sketch more "Why?'

He shook his head and smiled as he placed a hand on her cheek. "No it isn't silly it shows you care." He left his hand on her cheek and smiled at her. "As for why I gave the sketch back. I believe that the sketch shows I care plus you are very lovely in it." He looked at the sketch he did of the room. "Hehe I even got us snuggled on the couch right."

Maeve smiled at him and nodded her ears twitching slightly as her tail wrapped itself round his wrist "Thank you" she says grinning then pressing a kiss on his cheek "For caring and being such a good friend even though I just met you"
